The Uggly Truth

The message is simple: Please don’t buy Ugg boots.

Some very distressing new video shows dogs in China being literally skinned alive to make imitations of the trendy footwear.

A report n The Sun, a U.K. newspaper, tells the whole story. Please be warned: there are shocking photos of the dogs.

The real Ugg boots are made of sheepskin. And, frankly, the sheep in Australia whose skins are used are not treated very well either.

So the best way to stay beautiful is probably to stay away from anything Ugg-ly.

Thank you Michael for posting this story. I plan on sending the link to everyone I know. This is a heartbreaking and brutal practice that must be stopped. We have made big strides in changing how people feel about animal cruelty but there is so much more to do and we can speak our outrage loudly by how we spend our dollars!

That is so terrible. Why do they have to skin them alive???? I can not understand that. Why do they not kill them first??? Either way, I do NOT wear any kind of fur.
