Feral Kittens Reunite

The joys of trap-neuter-return

Feral cat caregiver Sherman Mohler took this video of one of her charges as she returned the kitty to her colony mates after taking her to the vet to be spayed.

As you see, the kitties are all delighted to be reunited!

Feral cats are the offspring of cats who were once domestic but were abandoned for whatever reason. Their kittens grow up without being socialized around humans, so it’s difficult for them to be taken in as pets. Instead, they prefer to live their lives together – part wild, but still dependent on humans for food and other care.

This care includes, as a key element, having them spayed or neutered in order to keep the population manageable.
