Tales of the missing Egyptian cobra’s tour of the Big Apple
According to her account on Twitter, it seems the Egyptian cobra who did a Houdini on the Bronx Zoo’s Reptile House had a grand time touring New York City before finding herself safely — at least for the general public — back in her regular habitat.
When we last checked, she’d gathered a following of 236,000 as she tweeted her way around the city. Some of our favorite entries:
Getting on the ferry to Ellis Island. Let’s hope this goes better than that time on the plane.
On top of the Empire State Building! All the people look like little mice down there. Delicious little mice.
Don’t turn around. I’m right behind you. Just kidding! lol!
Enjoying a cupcake @magnoliabakery. This is going straight to my hips. Oh, wait. I don’t have hips. Yesss!
Leaving Wall Street. These guys make my skin crawl.
Rockefeller Plaza is amaz….wait…OMG! Tina Fey totally just walked by me! HUUUUGE FAN!
Holding very still in the snake exhibit at the Museum of Natural History. This is gonna be hilarious!
Donald Trump is thinking about running for president?! Don’t worry, I’ll handle this. Where is Trump Tower exactly?
Dear NYC, Apples and snakes have gone together since the beginning.
And this morning’s:
Anyone else got a case of the Mondays? I do. It’s a plexi-glass case enclosure in the Reptile House.
What do you say? If you were the cobra, where would you have gone in New York? What would you have tweeted? And why didn’t anyone give her directions to Trump Tower? Comment below or go to our Facebook page and let us know your thoughts.
