The Pictographs

The pictographs are not as stunning or as many as at Indian Canyon, which is covered in precise drawings and paintings that are carefully drawn and were clearly highly symbolic and meaningful to the people who came there for ceremonial purposes.

Here, by contrast, you get the sense you’re in someone’s home. The paintings are more like doodles, maybe done by kids.

I’d read that there’s also a remarkable print of a child’s foot:

But I have to say I couldn’t see it. Maybe it was staring me in the face and I missed it. Or maybe it’s been washed out.
