Baboons Keeping Dogs as Pets
Are humans the only animals who keep pets? Prof Hal Herzog posed the question a while back, and concluded that although animals do adopt other species, it’s not quite the same thing as the human propensity to keep a pet. (He also noted this example of a macaque apparently keeping a kitten as a pet.)
But here’s an interesting video from the documentary Animals Like Us. This sure looks like much the same thing as humans keeping dogs as pets.
