A new relationship with animals, nature and each other.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known to us all as Dr. Seuss, was born on this day, March 2, in 1904.

Seuss wrote more than 60 books in his lifetime (he died in 1991), becoming one of the world’s most popular children’s writers in history. He gave us a host of memorable characters and a raft of memorable books, including Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, a trio among the all-time best-selling children’s books.

More importantly, Seuss taught us how to read, taught us how to smile and taught us how to laugh.

So take a trip down memory lane and back to your childhood. Remember Yertle the Turtle, Thing 1 & 2, Hop on Pop, Fox in Socks, The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Green Eggs and Ham, Horton, The Grinch, Lorax and Sneetches.

Vote for your favorite Seuss character.

And most of all, smile.
