For the Love of Sloths
Monique Pool has up to 200 sloths at her sanctuary home in Paramaribo, Suriname. Outside of the city, the rain forest is being bulldozed for cattle ranching. As the trees fall, Pool and her friends pick up the sloths and care for them until they can be released to other forests where they’ll be safer – at least for the moment. [readon]
